Donaustahl CEO Stefan Thumann has lived in hiding since late 2025 after German officials warned him of a Russian assassination plot.
Prosecutors arrested two so-called disposable agents in March who allegedly spied on Thumann to prepare a nerve agent attack.
The plot echoes a 2024 US-foiled attempt on Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger, highlighting rising threats against German defence executives.
