• NATO's NSPA (Support and Procurement Agency) has issued a call for tenders for the preliminary design phase of the Next Generation Rotorcraft Capability programme.

  • Four manufacturers, Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo, Sikorsky, and Boeing, will each submit two preliminary design solutions by August 2027.

  • The programme involves six nations and aims to replace helicopters such as the NH90 and H225M within fifteen to twenty years.
