• British firm Skyfly raised a $10 million seed round led by HICO Investment Group, with Archangel, to develop Longbow, a hybrid-electric vertical takeoff drone designed to carry 200 kg over 640 km.
  • Longbow is an uncrewed version of its two-seat Axe aircraft, and Skyfly is enrolled on the UK Ministry of Defence’s Uncrewed Air Systems Heavy Lift Capability framework.
  • It runs on Jet A-1, JP-8 or diesel via a turbine generator; Skyfly names no defence customer and plans first Axe civilian deliveries in 2027.
